Booking a session

Booking a session

Sessions you book as a counselor confirm automatically. You can book from the Schedule page or from a contact's page.

Book a session, step by step

Go to Schedule in the sidebar and click + New booking . The "Book appointment" window opens.
Under Contact , choose the person you are booking.
Under Case , pick the case this session belongs to. Leave it on Consultation (no case) for a first meeting that is not yet a case.
If the case has more than one person, check anyone else who is attending under Also attending . To include an advocate, check them under Include advocates .
Choose the Appointment type (for example, Counseling Session or Free Consultation). The lengths offered come from that type.
Set the Session type (Individual, Couple, or Family), the Format (Video or In person), and the Length .
Pick the Date and the Time .
    Click Book session .

What happens after you book

  • The session is confirmed right away. Counselor bookings do not wait for approval.
  • If your Google Calendar is connected, the session is added to it. See  Video: Google Meet or Zoom  .
  • For a video session, a join link is created (Google Meet by default, or Zoom if you have connected it) and included in the client's confirmation email.

Book from a contact instead

Open the person from Contacts and start a booking from their page. The window opens with that contact already selected, so continue from step 3 above.

When a client books themselves

Clients can book from your public booking link. A self booked session does not confirm automatically: it appears under Requests in the sidebar for you to approve or decline. The times clients can pick come from  Your availability .
